When Aurelia returned to the Six Sentence Cafe & Bistro she joined the red-headed writer at a booth and then they wandered to wherever with the Bartender. With the men and women at separate locations the men could have a serious conversation (and perhaps even the women as well, but I can’t imagine what they might be talking about even though I could hear them doing a lot of it).
On the male side of the room Lou and I, thanks to prodding by the tall, thin man, were fast becoming good friends with Lou even inviting us to go with him to his Bottom of the Sea Strip Club and Lounge, but I told Lou that I’d rather read a paper on what amino acids and nucleobases were found on the asteroid Bennu than go to a strip club. To elaborate – although I don’t think it helped – I said, Long ago when I was young and stupid I found myself lying on the floor while a woman having only words at her disposal frantically commanded life back into my motionless body and a voice advised me not to try to regain control, but merely trust that I would according to her words even though I witlessly ingested the drugs she wishes now she never brought.
How long has that voice been watching over you? Lou asked.
Now that that incident slipped back into my memory it must have been – forever.

Denise offers the prompt word “slip” to be used in this week’s Six Sentence Stories.

Stick to your guns, Frank, don’t be influenced by Lou.

I won’t be influenced by Lou. I’ve made too many of those kinds of mistakes in the past. Blessings and thank you!

“I’d rather read a paper on what amino acids and nucleobases were found on the asteroid Bennu than go to a strip club.” Funny line and not surprised Lou asked Frank how long the voice had been looking after him.

I just finished reading such an article while finishing that story. I am glad you enjoyed it, Denise. Blessings!

Excellent Sixcolabs-1 *
Good Six keeping the scene coherent while providing potential (narrative) branches to the benefit of all
*not a ‘real’ mathematical term, but we don’t (yet) have a really good term for this ‘live-serial-story-colaboration(ing)’

The collaboration is fun and yet challenging for all who participate. Blessings to you, Clark!

I’m glad Frank and Lou are becoming friends, it won’t have a bad influence on Frank and might have a good one on Lou. It’s nice to have it confirmed the voice is a good, friendly, and wise one.

Great episode Frank – this made me laugh- ‘I’d rather read a paper on what amino acids and nucleobases were found on the asteroid Bennu than go to a strip club’ – that says it all good for you Frank 😃🙌

Frank, greetings.
Monks of Abbey of Notre Dame just released a new album ” Angelus Cantat”.
I think you will enjoy listening to it.
Besides it is not uncommon for the Gatekeeper to have something like that playing in the quiet hours while sitting outside the SSC&B😉

Ooh, that voice… so very interesting. My red-headed writer will need to listen to it some more.

Ah yes. Prebiotic cosmic delivery. Like Uber, I suspect. 😂

Darn. I’m referring to the amino acids and nucleobases, Frank.

Those amino acids and nucleobases are actually bothering me. There was even terrestrial bacterial on Ryugu (which had to be labeled contamination, but who knows when the contamination occurred). Thank you and blessings, Misky!

And the great question remains: how did chemistry cross the threshold into biology? And blessings to you, Frank.

The only way chemistry can cross into biology is through divine agency, that is, creation. Otherwise, we would see strange, alien lifeforms pop out all around us all the time.

I like the reference to Uber and prebiotic cosmic delivery. All those asteroids may have come from Earth and are now coming back home. Blessings, Misky!

Wow! Pretty powerful here. Goes to show it’s the quiet (inner) voices we need to keep close. And maybe share with others.

May we keep those inner voices close. Blessings, Liz!
