Distortion

Dale offers the prompt “distortion” for this week’s Cosmic Photo Challenge.

All of these are distortions due to water which is nicely wavy.

It also allows one to see through it as well as see reflections of what is above it.

Seasons—Ovi Poetry Challenge

His voice is all I truly know.
His holy wind through fire will blow
and where He goes my seasons go
in faith as Spirit-led.

Tonic—Six Sentence Story

Steve’s faith was the only tonic he needed.

When times were peaceful, he harvested peace. When times were less than peaceful, he sowed the choicest seeds of peace he had hoping for a hundred-fold harvest. When times were joyful he laughed with gratitude. Indeed, some thought he laughed too much, because—face it—nothing was all that good.

When all hell broke loose, as most everyone believed it would sooner or later, Steve didn’t notice.

Relief—Ovi Poetry Challenge

The Lord’s strong favor brings relief
and guards against wild unbelief.
The devil is a wily thief
who’d snatch the way side seed.

Present—Six Sentence Story

Sam received inspiration for how to proceed, but at present he had only half an hour to get it done. He decided to write everything down so he could complete it when he got back from Tampa, but he heard the voice say, Do it now.

In the next fifteen minutes he finished more than he anticipated he could have done in a day’s time. He decided to stop, because he had reached a particularly difficult part and the taxi would be there any moment.

He heard the voice say, Do it now.

In the next fifteen minutes he completed another day’s worth of work just as—just as—the taxi arrived, on time, to pick him up for the airport.
