Landscape of Summer Flowers

Wild Blooming

Yellows aim so all can see.
Wind flips them about.
Greens believe they cannot fail.
They motivate no doubt.

Purples, whites and reds proclaim:
“Sail your colors high!”
Green below greets blue above
To praise fresh evening sky.

  1. Love those bright Black-eyed Susans, Frank. Nice verb flexing in:
‘Yellows aim so all can see.
    Wind flips them about’
    and
    ‘Purples, whites and reds proclaim:
    “Sail your colors high!”’

  2. At first I thought you wrote another Minute Poem, but this one has more brevity & verbal muscle. Nice working with the verbs, & your images are lovely.

    1. The minute form has the same iambic meter that this common meter poem has, but with a different rhyme pattern. I was hoping the verbs were strong enough for the challenge. Thanks, Glenn!
