Rain — #writephoto

Rain is wet like water,
Not so hard as ice,
Not so hot my hand gets hot,
Messy, mostly nice.

The Sun thinks clouds are funny.
They block the warmth of day
Making fantasies up high–
Carousels turn in the sky–
Friendly, flowing play.

What Flowing Water Makes Possible — August Challenge Half-Poem

What’s neither dry nor frozen hard
Makes circles red with bliss
And green takes form to guide and guard
Metamorphosis.

Landscape of Summer Flowers

Yellows aim so all can see.
Wind flips them about.
Greens believe they cannot fail.
They motivate no doubt.

Purples, whites and reds proclaim:
“Sail your colors high!”
Green below greets blue above
To praise fresh evening sky.

Summer Flowers

Patience

At first you sense a peaceful, cooler green
Than jealousy can fake within its eyes,
And then a calmer red with no disguise
That anger has to wear when it is seen.
When blue becomes delightful, sparkling bright,
Beyond what reason’s ramblings can achieve,
Then violet turns away from time and leaves
You knowing there’s no need to fear the night.

Expressionism

I’ll cartoon all the things we do.
I’ll place me by your side.
I’ll make some funny jokes for you.
Together we will hide
Until you ride away from me
And freedom says we’re through.
Though speckled green with jealousy
My happy skies stay blue.

The “I” in the poem is fictional. However, I kind of like to think this is how I would behave.

Happy Limerick

The sky is as blue as it’s sweet
And the birds up above love to tweet
And the grass is as green
As this limerick’s clean
Bathed in sky from its head to its feet.
