Journey to the Sea

When death comes to ask forgiveness
May I be ready with a kiss.
Take these trinkets. Take that treasure.
I need nothing more than this.

Last Draft

A little rain, a little wet
A little sun we won’t forget
A drizzle, drazzle, druzzle there
A frazzle frizzled up somewhere
Mushy, splushy, gushy kiss
Happy dragging worlds through bliss
A liftoff love crash lands with pain
Healing hearts light dance in rain

Linked to NaPoWriMo2017 Day Ten although I realize actually writing one poem a day is beyond me.

San Francisco’s Painted Ladies

Like colored Easter eggs placed in their nest
These houses built about the hills
Are perfect paintings of an inner best
We cannot see except for these bright frills.
We trust that thrills felt deeper do exist
And there’s no reason not to think they do.
Beneath the painted lips are hearts. When kissed
They warm projecting peace through winters, too.

Morning

Like a cat I kiss around your face.
Sleeping, you want only to sleep more.
Shifting me, my feet land on the floor.

In your mind my kisses scratched some place,
Broke your dream so you can now forget.
Wake. Remember? We’ve already met.

Merging wakened hearts with threads of grace,
Forming through the years our two as one.
Routine wonder: this day has begun.

The three stanzas should relate to body, mind and spirit in that order. It should evoke emotion or be about the supernatural realm. See the link for more detail.
