I’m weak, but look! The Lord is strong
Turning night to lighten days
Turning right the ways gone wrong
Turning on the songs of praise.

Strength
Alone my strength is weakness,
Like mist to fog the mind.
Through fresher eyes I realize
I’ve wandered with the blind.
The trees in morning sunrise
Stand tall to smile in rain.
The waters show from down below
Spring calm will come again.

Mercy
Leaving vengeance to the Lord
Helps me to forgive
And His mercy moving toward
Us helps us both to live.

Surprised, I turned around to see,
In spite of everything I knew,
The world afresh with mystery
And animated, too.

Beyond Worries
Muses are real
Like angels defending
Whose promises feel
Fulfilled and unending.
Impossible deeds
Make way for a blessing.
Obedience leads
Through trials caressing.

Rain
Only heroes blessed with pain
Continue searching through the rain
For their loved ones lost somewhere
Finding rest on gifts of prayer.
Best of all the search is slow.
The other must decide to show
And meet him in that pouring rain
Where they may reconcile again.

Diaphanous
When veils are down then we may meet
The overlying mystery
Unless we’re busy frantically
Ignoring what was there to see.
