Landscapes lying in the stone.
You and I are not alone.
Suddenly what’s far comes near
When the starlings reappear.

Turning round from flight
From cold wintry blight,
We stay.
Colorful and bright
Rainbows raise out sight,
Display
Gardens growing right
Where there once was night
Today.

Mysterious things
That soft, cool light brings -
Be true.
With silent, sure wings
My memory swings.
Renew.
Take care. Poison flings
With doubt as it springs.
Dark fear creeps and clings.
The shrill discord rings.
Be kind.
Forgive. There joy kings
The lovebird who sings
To find
That soft, cool light brings
Mysterious things.

Up and down, round and round,
See the wonders on the ground,
Soaring beauty full of sky,
Full of gratitude and I
Will praise the truthfulness of light
Seeking dawn through darker night
When evening coolness hints of love
Up and down, beyond above.

Early every day
Turn my mind away
From sin.
When I’m lost, astray,
Let me let you stay
Within.
Now I choose and may
Your desires display,
Begin.
Linked to dVerse Poetics where M (grapeling) is hosting with the these “limbo”. It is also an example of the “lai” poetry form featured at dVerse this month.
The lai poetry form is simple. The required rhyme and syllable counts flow under various meters.

Secrecy at night
Showing dark for light
Of day.
Hold me hoping tight.
Tilt me toward the right
Of way.
What I’m left of sight
Turn disturbing fright
To play.

To all those bad guys in my heart – Today I set you free. You’re all forgiven. Go away! Or stay – Make friends with me.

The morning Sun begins to rise
As dawn rebirths the light.
Those colors I remember well.
They leave the dark with night.
When I awake I sense surprise -
Another day to see,
Another chance to get it right
Or not if that should be.
