Cycle

I cycle on and miss the trees.
They laugh more mindfully than me.
It’s you I’m on this bike to see.

With any end the sun may bring
There will be some old song to sing
And some to dip us fresh in spring.

Rest and Motion

Forgiveness is a sacred motion
Like waves expressing deeper ocean.

Say What You See

What they would say is “Go away.
Leave our young in peace.
But should you dare, well, we’re prepared
To treat like bad geese.”

Photos: “Swans Looking at Me”, above, “Circles of Color Amid Fairy Green”, below linked to K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge with the theme “say what you see”. The captions of the photos are me saying what I see in the photos and the poem imagines what I think those swans are saying to me.
